NEW: Hear spiritual solos composed and sung by Beverly Goldsmith C.S.B. Christian Science practitioner and teacher on beverlyg.com
The music and lyrics of these spiritual solos were composed by Beverly Goldsmith, C.S.B. for use in Christian Science Sunday church services to complement the subjects of the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons.
Beverly who trained as a classical singer and studied piano at the Conservatorium of Melbourne before becoming a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, sang and recorded these solos accompanied by the pipe organ of First Church of Christ Scientist, Adelaide, South Australia.
The words of the solo Communion Hymn and Love were written by Mary Baker Eddy the discover and founder of Christian Science.
Beverly wrote these solos to bring comfort, encouragement, inspiration, and healing to those seeking to know God’s love and care.
She says, “Singing individually or collectively, provides an opportunity to give voice to simple, heartfelt words of caring, peace, harmony and gratitude to God. Instead of staying silent when life gets tough, making a special point to recall the good you’re grateful for, or to rejoice and give thanks to God for His loving care, is restorative and health-bringing. The Bible actively encourages us. “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms”. KJ Bible Psalms 95:1,2.
